A Hundred Days Of This - Day 13

Yesterday when I mentioned StumbleUpon a thought had struck me like lightning. I know I cannot do it on a huge scale like the website did but maybe I can still have a repository of the weirdest and coolest spots on the Internet and keep adding to the list just so that I can keep going back to those sites whenever I want to.

These websites have stayed with me over the years and helped me get over boredom. Hope you find them interesting too.

1. https://www.deviantart.com/ -  I used to get my phone wallpapers from here and back then, there was a lot of concept art around the DC and Marvel characters. Top-notch stuff if you are into art and illustrations.

2. https://www.zenpencils.com/ - The journey of Zen Pencils for me started with the website first. Never a dull day with this one.

3. https://thisissand.com/ - Nothing special, you get to create sandscapes here which is actually fun! Here is an example.

4. https://littlealchemy.com/ - The number of hours I have spent playing this game is a little too embarrassing to admit. At the end of the day the science nerd in me was happy!

5. https://naturalhistory.si.edu/visit/virtual-tour - One for the museum nerds because you have to feed that curious mind. This is my personal favourite but now I think you can look up for a virtual tour of any major museum around the world (if it is available)

6. https://floor796.com/ - This is a recent discovery and I love to see how many pop culture icons I can identify every time I am on this site. And it pulls you into a spiral, so tread carefully.

7.  https://science.nasa.gov/mission/hubble/multimedia/what-did-hubble-see-on-your-birthday/ - Go ahead and try it. I love my 2002 birthday's picture

8. https://binarypiano.com/ - Do not ask me why. Just try.

9. https://www.facebook.com/wirrow/photos - Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of those cute and smart men I really admire and I got to know of this artist through his Hitrecord project, another beautiful avenue to explore creative pieces. Wish the artist was still active though.

10. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1009350245745680 - It is not as it used to be back in 2015-ish days but I owe half of my library to this one single group. We built a community, made friends, played secret Santa and have so many memories associated with it. Do check it for great deals and book recommendations.

11. https://hellopoetry.com/ - A little nook where everyone writes and publishes their poetry. I do too. Say hi if you find my profile in there. Maybe I will see your work here someday?

12. https://www.asofterworld.com/archive.php - Another poignant web comic (I am not sure if I can call it that) I found during college days. Somehow, reading these panels calms my mind.

Bonus addition: https://jaajipoolu.blogspot.com/ - Amma was addicted to this one blog and she would make me read a few posts after I came back from college. That time when the bloggers were ruling the Internet was a golden period. Can we please revive that trend?

So the plan is to keep updating this list as and when I remember the old ones or find something interesting now. Let us see how far it goes. Hit me up with your set of links and we will see what we can add.

And that's Day 13 for you!
