Thank you teacher, God bless you!

One says that I'm very naughty. The other goes to my mother and complains that I never shut my mouth in the class. And another is a little concerned about the one and a half mark that  I lost in the Mathematics paper because I forgot to draw the rough diagram for a circumcircle. What only.

Yeah, back in school I used to get this a lot on almost every Parent - Teacher Meeting. These teachers no.
My Mathematics teacher is the best I should say, no not because she taught me 2+2=4. Because she taught me that there are always many alternate solutions for a given problem. So what if I do not know what is the perimeter of a trapezium. At least I have learnt to subtract the worries and add a little joy to my life.

Chemistry, the mystery is another favourite of mine. When it comes to questioning, my teacher never got tired of answering all the silly doubts that came from all the corners of the classroom. Only the one who questions will get all the answers they need, be it Gautama Buddha or an 8th grader who doesn't quite understand how to balance a chemical equation.

If we are talking about Social Studies, just one word. Amazing. All thanks to my History teacher, boring facts, dates and numbers were not just mere facts but the whole biography of Napoleon Bonaparte is still is in my head. Point is, not to mug up all these details but to understand why were they fighting after all and not to repeat the same mistakes of the past in the near future. Still don't get it? It is okay. Even I am trying to figure out what it means. People tell me that Economics is too dry and mundane. Really? If you too are one among those who are crying because of the rise in the price of onions, shouldn't you be thanking your teacher for explaining the word 'inflation' for those endless 3 hours.

The dramatics, debates and elocution, if my teachers weren't there I would never have realized that I too can speak. Speak out loud my views and reviews and not regret. And exams, now it is because of my teachers that I have learnt to take in not only the extra marks for neat hand writing but also, criticism and negative remarks for the silly mistakes. Teachers didn't just read what was there in the textbooks and gave sums for homework. They taught you and me something which the four walls of the classroom can never hold.

This, I write, for all those teachers who taught me to search for a beauty that resides in everyone's soul and unleash the potential that is hidden somewhere deep in everyone's heart. Especially my high school Telugu teacher, who once said, to write is to be ecstatic. To Vijay Mary teacher, for that one hour spent talking about the sheer pleasure of writing. To Aruna ma'am, for making me realize that Trigonometry is too easy if you know 3 ratios. And to a certain someone who taught me how to talk and walk. Amma, you are my most favourite of all. I know I don't say it often, but when I do, I totally mean it. Thank you teachers, thank you for everything.

Happy Teachers Day! :-D
Finally, to my English teacher without whom it would have been really difficult to write all of this. Yes, I lost a few many one and a half marks because of my grammatical errors. But Roselene teacher's Hound of Baskerville class was a delight everyday.
These teachers no.
